Hello, March 7, 2016
With a new month comes a new look at our spiritual goal for this year. Our March focus is the complete first sentence from the bottom of page 323 of Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy:
“Willingness to become as a little child and to leave the old for the new, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea.”
When I looked up the word “renders” online, the definition is: “Causes to be or become; make.” So, as we are willing “to leave the old for the new,” we will become “responsive to, aware of, open to (receptive of)” “progressive (advanced)” ideas and suggestions. That to me is spiritual growth!
What advanced ideas are you learning about? Be sure to share them at our Wednesday testimony meetings and on our blog at ChristianScienceFortCollins.com .
“Willingness to become as a little child and to leave the old for the new, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea. Gladness to leave the false landmarks and joy to see them disappear,--this disposition helps to precipitate the ultimate harmony. The purification of sense and self is a proof of progress. ‘Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.’ “ Page 323 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
