It is time to move to the next phase of our metaphysical study. For the month of August, we will study the fifth phrase of the citation from page 340 in Science and Health with key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy,
“One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfills the Scripture, “Love thy neighbor as thyself;” annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,--whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.”
Our First Reader, Pam Dickson, will share readings on this topic on Wednesday, August 26. Come and share your inspirations at the Wednesday services or share by clicking on the "Add Comment" below. That way we will have all of our ideas in one area for us to refer. We can also participate in a back and forth conversation if desired.
Beginning thoughts: My goal is to gain a better understanding God’s spiritual government (codes, rules, laws, etc.). This understanding will provide me with guidance as to how to follow or correct my thought about the above human codes, laws, and customs.
In addition, my clearer understanding of God will help me to break free of mistaken trust in human dependence (family, boss, friends, world thought, etc.) and matter (time, food, medicine, job, sports, etc.) as I claim my joy, safety, wellbeing, health, supply, fulfillment, etc. as His reflection and expression.
