We have moved to the next phase of our metaphysical study for the month of July, the fourth phrase of the citation from page 340 in Science and Health with key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy,
“One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfills the Scripture, “Love thy neighbor as thyself;” annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,--whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.”
Our First Reader, Pam Dickson, will share readings on this topic on Wednesday, July 29. Come and share your inspirations at the Wednesday services or share on our website, ChristianScienceFortCollins.com, by jotting Steve Knox an email (email@example.com) or a note on a piece of paper, and he will post your idea. That way we will have all of our ideas in one area for us to refer. We can also participate in a back and forth conversation if desired.
Beginning thoughts: As I think about this phrase, I realize I first need to love God, which then enables me to love my neighbor, my enemies, AND myself. As I reflect God’s infinite Love, I will only see God’s creation, not conflict, discord, polarization, unhealthy competition, or power struggles.
